Rainy Disney Days

I do not know why I insisted upon going to Tokyo Disneyland on a rainy Saturday morning, but that is precisely what I did last weekend.

Usually, in California, the park is empty and there are only a few brave souls willing to face the weather in hopes that rides will be empty.

Apparently, Japan is not the same.

It was slightly less crowded, but everyone was donned in their Mickey or Minnie ponchos of garish red and blue and going about as if there wasn't a torrential downpour happening.

As it was, the entire day was an amazing task and I found that although there is a "Popcorn Wagon Map" listed at the bottom of each and every single park map, there are no such things for Churros - and if you have ever had a churro you would know what a travesty this is.

Churros are amazing and I dare anyone to argue otherwise.

I do recall going on one ride which I promptly regretted as soon as I got in line. I don't remember the actual name, but it is in Tomorrowland and sponsored by JAL. It was a horrible time and I my trust in JAL has diminished slightly due to it.

On the upside, we discovered a show called Country Bear Vacation which was an experience in itself. I do admit that my mind tends to wander into the gutter every now and then so you can imagine what my first thought was when I saw a large animatronic bear proclaiming that he fell in love with an octopus.... *coughtenticleporncough*

At the end of the day, we won seats to a raffle to get awesome places to watch the projection mapping on the castle. It was absolutely mesmerizing and despite the fact that it was still drizzling, I didn't let that deter me and still took a video and copious amounts of pictures.

In the end, I can say that it was an awesome rainy disney day!
